How It Works

Your card gets re-engineered, not recreated. We transplant your real EMV chip into a metal body, so your account number and bank never change. Simple on your end, precise on ours.

• Order: Pick a design and get a prepaid, tracked label by email.
• Ship: Send your card, or freeze it first. We never ask for your PIN.
• Approve: Sign off on the emailed mockup before anything is made.
• Receive: Both cards come back together with tracking.

Does an engraved design change how the card works?

No. Chip insert and swipe work anywhere your original card worked, and you can tap through Apple Pay or Google Pay. Just avoid ATMs that pull the card fully in.

What is the difference between stainless steel and brass?

Steel engraves in silver tones for a cool, modern look, while brass engraves in a goldish hue with gold edges for a warmer one. Both weigh 28 grams at 0.8mm thick. The mockup previews your design on your chosen metal.

How detailed can an engraving get?

The laser holds a finer line than most print processes, so portraits, script, and fine linework stay sharp at card size. High-contrast designs render strongest. Your mockup shows the honest result before we cut.

Will the engraving wear off over time?

No, the design is removed metal rather than an added layer. Minor cosmetic marks from daily carry are normal on any real metal product. A dedicated wallet slot away from keys and coins keeps it looking new.

Can I get an engraved design on both sides?

Yes, front and back are both engravable. Many customers run a main design front and a monogram or detail back. Both faces appear in the mockup you approve.

Is it safe to mail you my card?

Yes. Lion Card is PCI compliant, BBB A+ accredited, and we guarantee a safe process or your money back. Freeze your card before mailing, and we never ask for your PIN or passwords.
