Yes. Your trust and security are extremely important to us. We are in the business of creating premium custom metal cards for long-term customers, not collecting or storing sensitive information.

To create a fully functional custom metal card, we do require your physical card to complete the transfer process. There is currently no other way to produce a working EMV metal card without the original card being present. However, we never ask for your PIN, Social Security number, banking password, or passcodes of any kind.

We do not store your card information. Your data is used only during the transfer process and is permanently deleted once your custom card is completed, unless you specifically request future update support.

If you would like additional peace of mind, you also have the option to:

• Send a debit or prepaid card with no funds loaded
  
• Send a card that has not yet been activated
  
• Temporarily freeze your card while it is being processed

Completed orders are returned via FedEx International Priority. International return shipping is a flat rate of $65 USD.

Yes. We offer optional card protection plans for an additional fee. Coverage is available in 2-year or 4-year plans and includes up to 2 replacement cards during the coverage period.

Coverage includes:

• Lost cards
• Stolen cards
• Bank re-issued cards
  

Replacement cards must remain the same exact design, finish, and card account as the original order. Additional fees may apply if changes are requested.

A $25 deductible applies per claim.

To qualify for coverage, the protection plan must be added at the time of purchase and cannot be added later.

Shipping and handling fees per replacement:

$25 for U.S. orders
$65 for international orders

• We provide a 60-day warranty covering manufacturing-related defects involving the magnetic strip or EMV chip functionality.
  
• Warranty coverage begins from the delivery date shown on the tracking information.

Please note that the warranty does not cover:

• Lost cards
• Stolen cards
• Physically damaged cards
• Normal wear and tear
  

If you experience an issue covered under warranty within the 60-day period, please contact Lion Card support for assistance.

• If your card is lost or stolen, please contact your bank immediately to secure or freeze your account and request a replacement card if necessary.
  
  
• Our standard warranty does not cover lost or stolen cards. However, customers who purchased an active insurance plan may be eligible to submit a replacement claim based on their coverage terms.
  
  
• If you have insurance coverage and need assistance with a claim, please contact Lion Card support for further instructions.

If your bank replaces your card due to fraud or a compromised merchant within the first 60 days of receiving your custom card, we will provide a replacement for your existing design.

You may return your purchase within 30 days of the original purchase date. Approved returns are subject to a $35 shipping and handling fee.

• We convert your old plastic debit/credit card into a custom metal (stainless steel) card. Using patented technology, we transplant your EMV chip and transfer the magnetic strip data onto the metal card, making it functional and ready to use.

1. Place your order online and receive a prepaid shipping label and tracking number via email.
   
   
2. Place your plastic card securely in an envelope, attach the prepaid label, and ship it to us.
   
   
3. Once we receive your card (typically within 2–3 business days depending on your selected shipping method), we immediately begin the conversion process.
   
   
4. Your custom design is professionally laser engraved or UV color printed onto your new metal card. We then transfer the EMV chip and magnetic data to complete the conversion, typically within 1–2 business days.
   
   
5. Once completed, we will email you a photo of your finished card along with your tracking information.
   
   
6. Your completed metal card and original card are then shipped back to you via USPS First Class Mail (FedEx for international orders).
   

• Expedited shipping options are also available at checkout for faster turnaround times.

• To create a fully functional custom metal card, we require your original plastic card. During the conversion process, we transfer the EMV chip and magnetic data from your existing card onto your new metal card.
  
  
• Once the EMV chip is removed from the original card, the original card’s magnetic strip may still function for swiping, but the chip functionality will no longer work.
  
  
• If you choose to opt out of the EMV chip transfer, your custom metal card will function as a swipe-only card. Please note that many newer payment terminals require chip insertion, so swipe-only cards may not work at certain POS systems.

• Lion Card is not a bank, credit card issuer, or rewards program provider.
  
  
• We do not issue credit cards, provide financing, or manage reward points. Our service focuses exclusively on upgrading your existing plastic or hybrid (plastic and metal) card into a premium custom metal card featuring your preferred design.

• Your custom metal card should work anywhere your original plastic card works, since the EMV chip and magnetic data from your original card are transferred directly into the new metal card. The important component is the EMV chip itself — not the plastic surrounding it.
  
  
• However, metal cards are not recommended for certain ATM machines or payment terminals that fully pull the card inside the reader. Because metal cards are more rigid than plastic cards, some machines may have difficulty ejecting them properly, which could cause the card to become stuck.
  
  
• We recommend using your metal card only in readers where part of the card remains exposed during use, allowing you to remove it manually if necessary.
  
  

For ATM use, we recommend either:

• Using your original plastic card via the magnetic strip
  
• Using your smartphone with contactless payment features such as Apple Pay or Samsung Wallet
  
  

Most banks can also assist you with setting up contactless ATM access through your mobile device.

• If your metal card does become stuck inside an ATM or payment machine, visit the bank branch with a valid ID to request the card’s return.

• Yes, we transfer the magnetic strip data, but some older POS machines may struggle to read it. It might need to be swiped 2-3 times.

No, Tap to Pay is not supported on metal cards. This is due to limitations with contactless technology and the way metal cards are manufactured. However, your chip and magnetic stripe will still work as usual for in-store and online purchases.

As an alternative, you can still use Tap to Pay by adding your card to your smartphone's mobile wallet — for example, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.

When our Tap to Pay line becomes available and if your card has one of these exact EMV chips, we can certainly upgrade them to a metal Tap N Pay card.

• You can customize everything on your card. However, we cannot engrave “Gold Card,” “Black Card,” or “Titanium Card” due to trademark restrictions. Lion Card is not affiliated with Luxury Card or similar brands.
